Privacy Policy

Last update: 06/08/2026 · Version: 2026-08-06

This policy describes how TachyCab (published by Albert Beweb) processes your personal data when you use the website, web portal and mobile app, in accordance with the GDPR and applicable privacy law.

1. Controller

The controller is Albert Beweb. For any question about your data: contact@tachycab.com. The legal notice states the publisher’s full identity when published.

Privacy contact: contact@tachycab.com

2. Data processed

Depending on features used: account data (e-mail, ID, display name); logbook, journey and driver-card data needed for enabled features; payment and subscription data (via Stripe or app stores — we do not store full card numbers); geolocation when you enable GPS, community presence or related features; community content you publish; technical data (device, app version, security logs); cookies and audience measurement subject to consent on the website.

Data type Purpose
E-mail and credentials Authentication and account management
GPS location Navigation, day tracker, consented community features
Driver card / logbook data RSE features and compliance at your request
Payment / subscription Billing via Stripe or stores (no full PAN storage)

Indicative table: full processing details are in the sections above and in the app (Settings > Data).

3. Purposes and legal bases

Contract performance: account, logbook, GPS, subscription, support. Legal obligation: retention of payment records and, where applicable, regulatory driving records. Legitimate interest: security, fraud prevention, maintenance. Separate revocable consents: non-essential cookies, notifications, community presence, aggregated traffic, phone permissions.

4. Geolocation and permissions

Location is requested only for features that need it. Consent checkboxes are unchecked by default. A refusal does not block the rest of the app. Community presence and CB features are short-lived (~90 seconds). Aggregated traffic indicators, when enabled, use cells (~2 km / 15 min) without keeping raw individual traces.

5. Recipients and processors

Providers depending on features: Firebase (auth, cloud DB), EU hosts (IONOS site, VPS where applicable), Stripe (web payments), Google Play / Apple (in-app purchases), OpenStreetMap / Valhalla (maps and routing), Google Drive (Premium backup if enabled), consented analytics. Each provider processes data under its own terms and DPAs. No sale of individual locations.

6. Transfers outside the EEA

Some providers (including Google / Firebase / Stripe / Apple) may process data outside the European Economic Area under appropriate safeguards (SCCs, adequacy decisions or complementary measures).

7. Retention

Account and service data: for the relationship then deletion or anonymisation. Map / CB presence: short expiry (~90 s). Aggregated traffic cells: ~24 h. Payment and accounting records: statutory periods. Security logs: limited necessary period. Cookies: as per the consent banner.

8. Security

Encryption in transit (TLS). Sensitive local data encrypted on device where applicable. Cloud access limited by authentication and security rules. Least-privilege admin measures. No method is perfect — report incidents to contact@tachycab.com.

9. Your rights (GDPR)

Rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability and post-mortem directives where applicable. Exercise via the app (profile / settings), the portal, or contact@tachycab.com. Response within 30 days in principle. You may lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr) or your local authority.

10. Account deletion and portability

Delete from the app (Settings) or by e-mail. Personal cloud data erased within 30 days except legal obligations. Export via file backup or Premium cloud.

11. Cookies and trackers (website)

Strictly necessary cookies for operation and security. Audience and similar cookies only after consent via the banner. You can change choices anytime (“Manage cookies” in the footer).

12. Minors

The service is intended for adult professionals. If you are under 15 (or the age set by your local law), do not use the service without parental authorisation where required.

13. Changes

This policy may be updated. The date and version appear at the top of the page. Material changes will be announced via the site or the app.
