Mission
Why TachyCab exists
Professional driving demands rigour, responsiveness and reliable tools. We bring the essentials together so you spend less time switching screens and more time driving with peace of mind.
TachyCab brings together daily needs in one app: time tracking and indicative compliance, truck GPS, optional CB / community presence, documents and reminders, plus a web portal for account and subscription.
Our ambition: the clarity of a business app, respect for the European framework (including EC 561/2006 for driving times) and serious personal-data protection — without ever replacing the legal tachograph or the driver’s judgement.

Origin
Born on the road, refined with the field
TachyCab started from a simple observation: on the road, drivers juggle tachograph, GPS, messaging and paperwork — while the job demands focus and compliance.
We design the app in dialogue with drivers and operators. Every screen aims to reduce friction. The public roadmap and feedback (app, Discord, contact) shape priorities.
Today TachyCab covers Android, the web portal and is preparing iOS. Around the product: online subscription and shop, transport news (TachyCab News), FAQ and clear legal documents (Terms, Terms of Sale, privacy, legal notice).

What the app covers
Complementary modules for the professional driver’s day — enabled as needed.
RSE & driving time
Time tracking, alerts, driver-card import and support tools (including simulations) — indicative only, to stay aligned with the European framework.
Truck GPS
Cab-oriented routes, HGV constraints and useful points. Map data remains indicative: real signs and your judgement always prevail.
Community & CB
Optional CB and map presence, with separate consents. Internet required for audio. No permanent location sharing.
Documents & assistance
Proofs, expiry reminders and input help — so essentials stay findable at the end of the day, including from the web portal.

Same credentials on mobile and on the site: logbook, settings, subscription and shop orders.
Transport news
TachyCab News covers the sector (rules, job life, employment). The media has its own legal pages; the product has theirs.

Evolution priorities are visible on the site: what is in progress, what is coming, what is still undecided.

Technical trust
Infrastructure & practices
Project led by Albert Beweb. We clearly separate the mobile app, the site / portal and server services, with regular updates and European hosting for the website. We do not publish our detailed application stack: it does not help drivers and increases attack surface.

- AES-256-GCM encryption for sensitive local data; encrypted connections (TLS) to services.
- Processing aligned with the GDPR — detailed privacy policy on the site and in the app.
- Optional geolocation features, unchecked by default, short retention for community presence.
- Account and data deletion from the app or by e-mail (timelines in the privacy policy).
