1. Purpose and acceptance
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of the TachyCab mobile application and website, published by Albert Beweb. TachyCab is a service intended for road transport professionals (drivers, carriers, fleet managers) and for employers / recruiters using the jobs workspace, as well as for authorized users holding an account. Use of the service is subject to the express, prior and unreserved acceptance of these Terms, given by ticking the box provided when creating the account or by validating the acceptance screen shown at the first launch of the application. Any use of the service constitutes acceptance of the Terms in their current version. If you do not accept the Terms, you must immediately stop using the service.
2. Description of the service
TachyCab is a management and decision-support tool: driving-day logbook, driver card data reading and analysis, indicative calculations related to European social regulations (RSE), payroll simulator, truck GPS navigation, fuel prices, community alerts and features. The service is neither a tachograph, nor a legal control device, nor a certified safety or driving-aid system. It does not replace any document, equipment or check required by law.
3. Account and credentials
You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date. You are responsible for the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity carried out from your account. Access to the web portal and to the mobile application shares the same user account. Any suspected unauthorized use of your account must be reported to us without delay.
4. Road safety
You undertake never to handle the application while driving. Any interaction with the service (typing, viewing, adjusting) must be performed with the vehicle stationary, in compliance with the rules on phone use while driving. In all circumstances, road signs, the Highway Code and your own assessment of the situation prevail over the service's indications.
5. GPS navigation and road information
Routes, travel times, truck restrictions (dimensions, weights, dangerous goods, tunnels), speed limits, traffic information, fuel prices, points of interest and reported zones (danger, checks) are provided for information purposes only, based on third-party data (including OpenStreetMap, OSRM and public data) that we do not control. We do not guarantee their accuracy, completeness or timeliness: a restriction may be missing, incorrect or changed on the ground. It is your responsibility to check that the proposed route is compatible with your vehicle, your load and the regulations in force. Danger and check zones are reported for information purposes, in compliance with local laws that regulate or prohibit certain warning devices; you must comply with the law of the country in which you are driving.
6. RSE, tachograph and payroll calculations
Driving and rest time calculations, infringement detection, driver card analyses and payroll simulations are estimates provided for information purposes only. Responsibility for compliance with social regulations and labour law lies with the employer and the employee.
